PRINCESS MARGARET SCHOOL
FIRST GRADE, ROOM 21
TEACHER: CELESTE KROCHAK
When our story about the stranded geese was published in the Winnipeg Free Press in November 2008, we received a call from Celeste Krochak, who had been teaching her first grade class about Canada geese.
During a conference call, we were touched by the children's concern for the welfare of the injured geese. They wanted to know what they could do to help the geese and they sang us two songs for the geese that moved us to tears.
After the rescue of the five stranded geese, we sent Ms. Krochak's class a card and an animated DVD, "Simon with two left feet."
To our delight and surprise, Ms. Krochak's class sent us a precious collection of drawings and letters that we'd like to share with you.
