THE ROUNDUP
By Trudy MacMillan
22" X 30"
Canada Geese parents with their young leaving the pond after their swimming lessons.
"Thank you, Trudy, for this touching and delightful painting of loving parent geese with their babies. The painting captures the majestic beauty of nature, the restlessness of the young, and the doting protectiveness of parents."

ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY
Trudy was raised in Western Canada and at a very early age, displayed an interest in drawing. She received private tutoring for painting wildlife and landscape in oil from one of Western Canada's prominent wildlife artists. After moving to Ontario, she continued painting and decided to further her education. Through Sheridan College, she received a certification in Fine Arts. Focussing on flowers, she attended additional classes and workshops at the Royal Botanical Gardens, where she discovered the enjoyment of botanical painting. She specializes in watercolour and has taught classes throughout various Continuing Education School Boards as well as workshops at Michaels Stores and private workshops.
Residing in a rural country setting offers her inspiration for many botanical and nature filled landscape pieces which often incorporate animals and butterflies. Many of her paintings have been sold and hang in private collections across Canada, United States, Europe and Japan. All of her works are from original sightings and/or plant materials. Trying to remain true to herself, she does not do prints. She is also an avid writer and her paintings have inspired numerous children's stories and poetry.
